Project Description
The consultancy aims to strengthen the growth and sustainability of women-led agribusinesses in Ghana and the wider West African region by providing tailored Business Development Services (BDS) through the VALUE4HER platform. AGRA engaged Centafrique Limited to lead this assignment, focusing on equipping women agripreneurs with the tools and support needed to expand and professionalize their enterprises. Centafrique is onboarding women agripreneurs onto the VALUE4HER platform and conducting comprehensive assessments to identify their unique needs. Based on these findings, we are designing and delivering inclusive BDS interventions, including capacity-building and training programs for both women entrepreneurs and local BDS providers.
We are also fostering strategic partnerships and linkages between women agribusinesses and service providers, enhancing access to quality services aligned with their growth goals. The consultancy includes the creation of mentorship schemes to promote peer learning and collaboration, and the facilitation of group BDS sessions that encourage shared problem-solving among women agri-MSMEs. In addition, Centafrique is supporting the development of a robust network to help women entrepreneurs leverage collective market strength.
To ensure high-quality service delivery, Centafrique provided customized training and coaching to local and upcoming BDS providers to improve their effectiveness and alignment with women-specific needs. A rigorous monitoring and evaluation framework is being implemented to track outcomes, assess impact, and inform adaptive improvements throughout the consultancy. This ongoing process includes regular impact assessments, focusing on how the BDS support is contributing to the growth and resilience of women-led agribusinesses in the region.
