Project Description

As part of a regional initiative led by The Rallying Cry (TRC) and FMO Entrepreneurial Development Bank, Centafrique Limited was engaged to provide advisory support to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Eastern and Southern Africa. The objective was to enhance the transformation, growth, and scalability of these enterprises.

Centafrique supported the project by conducting a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to identify critical business challenges, capital needs, and opportunities for gender, climate, and health impact. Based on this assessment, actionable growth plans were developed with clear milestones and timelines.

To improve investment readiness, Centafrique worked closely with selected businesses to conduct due diligence, develop financial models, recommend appropriate types of capital, and provide pitch deck support. Both pre- and post-finance support were offered to facilitate long-term success. The assignment also included tailored 1:1 coaching, peer-to-peer learning sessions, and participation in wisdom circles to foster knowledge exchange. To elevate the visibility and confidence of participants, Centafrique facilitated speaking opportunities at virtual summits, global climate forums, and events involving capital providers. Furthermore, introductions were made to aligned investors, including development finance institutions, impact investors, and other capital enablers, to catalyze access to finance and partnerships.
